What data do we collect and what will we use it for?

P D N electrical will only ever collect basic personal data about you, which includes name, address, telephone number and email address. This information will only be used to contact you regarding a quotation, work we are completing for you, invoicing and electrical certificates.

We need this data to be able to visit your property to quote or carry out work for you, to register works completed as required to meet building regulations, and to complete electrical certificates.

We store this information on the emails we have communicated with, paper documents and an electronic spreadsheet-based file containing only the above-mentioned basic information.  This contact information is only accessible by Philip Noyes and P D N electrical’s administrator. We may also have to share your address with any contractors carrying out work for P D N electrical.

Your information will not be shared with anyone else except the organisations we are legally bound to register completed works with.  We will sometimes share your address with suppliers to arrange deliveries, or other contractors, such as SSE.

We will securely keep any information used to quote for or to carry out a job, including our notes and sometimes photo and video footage, unless you ask us to destroy them.  It is useful for us to be able to refer back to previous documentation if you get in touch with us again.

Information relating to invoicing and payments will be kept for a minimum of 7 years as per HMRC requirements.

We are required to keep documentation pertaining to building requirements and electrical certificates for a minimum of the time stated on the certificate until the next inspection is due.

Payments to P D N electrical are either by cheque or bank transfer; this information is encrypted and we cannot access your bank information.

We do not use a card payment system, so we will never ask for your bank details over the phone.
